Alarm not sounding S90-V90

I have noticed on my V90 that the alarm doesnt sound. By either pressing the panic button on the key fob or forcing the cars alarm to physically go off after you have locked it, all that happens is the hazard lights flash but no sound is heard. I dont know what the problem could be but the horn works fine (presuming the horn is what sounds when the alarm operates) and the alarm fob is also fine. Anyone know where I can start to look first.
