I removed a solenoid fron a '92 940 T and I think it will fit into my '91 740. Besides replacing the O rings, is there anything else I should do to be sure it works once installed? I also once read about a guy who uses a rotary tool to rout out a section of the solenoid therefore allowing the overdrive gear to be engaged at all times. Does anyone have some history with this?
Does anyone have any advice?
