I have had the drivers side rear caliper stick on me a few times, so I ordered the requiered parts and rebuilt it. When taking off the caliper i noticed that my rear axle seal was leaking, so while it was on the hoist I rebuilt the rear end, so my 2 hour job took 5 evenings instead. When I put it all back together, I bled the brakes in the normal manner, but observed a lack of flow from said right rear caliper. I took the car for a drive(with my newly silenced rear end, what a joy to not hear the whining)and when i got back i observed smoke pouring out of the rear wheel, the caliper was holding the rear disc tight. So back up on the lift it went. I tried bleeding the brakes again, but once again the left rear caliper would not give up it's fluid unless the pedal was pumped 5-6 times before opening the bleader screw. Finally i have arrived to my question, could the module located under the rear seat the has the flex lines attache to it need replacing?, could a week of having no fluid have dammaged it?, could it have been the cause of my sticky calioper in the first place? What does that thing do? are they still available?
