Well brickboarders i have another automotive horror story to tell. Although it is not a volvo issue, it is still one that could make even the hardest of brick-heads feel a little bit shitty. After a 26 month $10,000 restoration of my 52,000 mile 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400 (6.6 liter v8 for you import boys) I had the car completed for no more than 11 days and had driven it 65miles. I had been applying mother's sealer glaze and wax and polishing up the chrome in anticipation of going out driving tomorow when to my dismay i return home to find that the rear 1/4 panel had been smashed up by some moron in a large vehicle, most likely an SUV. no note was left, my new Noah Car Cover is destroyed and my PPG dual stage eurethane paint is ruined. I anticipate a bill of between $2000-3000 to fix the mess that some jack-off with no nuts created. OHH yeah and the clencher....i was in the process of being approved for collector's insurance which would have covered all of this....as of now this is 100% out of pocket....the world should be glad that I am not armed.
If you value your car...park it where noone can reach it.
