Hi Mario:
I decided to start a new thread since this is a new problem and the other thread is so huge.
Well, the ignition system seems to be straightened out thanks to you, Art, and Bruce. Now the fuel seems to be a problem.
While it seems like just recently that my Volvo died, when I actually think about it, it's been at least a year. Here in California, there are lots of "additives" in fuel which supposedly makes it burn cleaner but it my experience it makes the fuel degrade fairly quickly as well. So I suspect you are right when you suggest that the inside of the fuel distributor is gummed up.
I pulled the injectors and get no fuel from them while cranking. As mentioned previously, I get good flow from the fuel return line when running the fuel pumps. (Although I cannot measure the pressure.) I did order a pressure tester from JC Whitney today.
If anyone knows how to pump purge into the fuel distributor that may help the current problem. Thanks in advance for your help.
Tim
