91 940 Turbo--How much refrigerant;where is AC relay? 900 1991

I have two questions about my 91 Volvo 940 Turbo having done AC work this weekend:

(a) How much refrigerant? I found an old manual that recommended 45 ounces for a 240 and a 740 in 1989 and I went by that.

(b) Where is the AC Cutout relay. My system is well flushed, reoiled and charged and I have to handfire it with 12 V from the battery to make it work. It works fine. But I think my cutout relay is dead.
