Bilstein struts and bump stops?

(87 745 M46) The HD Bilstein Struts come with a bellows to protect the tube. I had ordered new bump stops but at 11:30PM I couldn't figure out any way to use them.

Seems OK without them, no clunks or other unusual noises and I have my doubts the HD struts would ever allow that much travel? Just looking for reassurance, thanks!

BTW the improvement over the Boge Turbo Gas is significant.
