Hi all, does anybody here remember if we can retrofit a newer gas tank into the older style 244 series . In this case a 1977 244 needs a gas tank due to rust.
I'm thinking you can install the newer tank with some modification but I don't recall how big a deal this is...I'm thinking its just a different filler neck which is no big deal. Of course I would have to be able to drop in the 77 fuel sender or go to the newer style sender??? also did they ever put plastic fuel tanks in the newer 240 series? Any gas tank afficianados out there can answer this connundrum? My profound thanks for any information.
