1984 AC problem 200

I'm probably going to go to heck with this posting. Here goes. I was rewiring my stereo and one thing lead to another with me breaking the AC switch on the dash obard of my 1984 DL wagon. The toggle switch broke right off.

So, if igure out how to get the switch off the dash panel, and do the same to my crached Volvo. That's why I'm doing this in the first place because some driver sideswiped my other Volvo while parked.

I noticed this large wire coming out ot the top of the AC control leading to the right side of the AC plumbing. So I clip it off using diagonal cutters. That wasn't a good idea. A small click was heard and then I realized that wire was copper tubing. Gah.

What do I do now?
