D-jet question -- Yellow Peril 140-160 1973

OK, I got my newly cleaned and lined tank back and the fuel tank sender
from Uniberp arrived today also, so I am ready to reassemble. But a question
came up. I had (in between periods of fuel starvation) noticed that the
mixture seemed a bit rich. I reduced the fuel pressure to 27 psi but didn't
notice any significant difference. I am using a MAPSensor that is marked
"Runs lean". So yesterday while running down odds and ends for the trip,
took the ohmmeter to all the coolant temp sensors I had. The temp was 95°F.
The chart I have shows a resistance of about 1500 ohms for that temp. The one
in the car showed 1700, as did one of my spares. Another spare showed 1800
and one (the grungiest of the lot) showed 1500 ohms. So I changed them (after
cleaning the grunge off). How big a difference should this 200 ohms make?

I should be able to run the engine late this afternoon or tomorrow morning
so I'll have a better idea then.

Are there any alternatives for the fuel filter that hangs above the
differential? They seem pretty hard to find, especially compared to the
oil filter, and the last one I bought seemed pretty expensive also.

Any comments on the above are eagerly sought!
