'Helping' a friend with an '89 245.
Symptoms is it starts and runs fine or it doesn't start and it has no spark.
Info he has told me: When the car is in a good mood and is running, he will shut it down and check the Crank sensor for any life. He says it does give him some reading when the car is willing to start. No Voltage later when the car cranks and cranks with no start. Sounds like Crank sensor.
My question is, what feeds the crank sensor? does that signal come from the Computer?
What is the function of that Small Power Block on the Drivers side Fender just behind the Headlight? Is that suspect?
For elimination purposes, I swapped out the Fuel pump relay, The Computer (561)
Coil.
Now that I write this, I don't remember hearing the Pumps.
Would you all take an educated guess at the Crank sensor? I never pulled one of those out of a junker to swap in.
Thanks in advance
