Hi everybody, I'm re-sealing a 740 cam driven distributor as
described in the FAQ.

I managed to pull everything apart ok, but I ran into two problems.

1) I broke one of the fiber washers. Has anyone found a place where
I can get these? Or does anyone out there have some I can buy ?

2) While removing the seal retaining washer, I broke off 3 bits of
aluminum from the distributor housing. I believe these aluminum
bits are bent over the washer to hold it in place. I was able to
push the washer back into place, and it seems to hold there ok.
Can I leave it like this?
