'89 240 tail light electronics 200

Ok, so I've swapped about 5 different bulbs in my rear right side brake light and turn signal. and they still doesn't work. So I took it in and the repair guy said it's not the bulbs that are the problem but the actual piece they go into. Where would be the cheapest place for me to get a replacement part? And, what am I actually looking for?
