I went to bleed the brake system on a '90 240 which has lived in the Northeast resulting in a broken bleeder (anyone surprised ?). Before I deal with the broken bleeder plus the three others which will break, I want to prepare to replace the calipers in the likely event that the bleeder extraction goes south.
Does anyone have any tricks or magic elixirs which will free the brass ferrule nuts on the front brake lines? A couple of months ago I tried to R&R the calipers on an identical car and because the brass line fittings would only round off when using a line wrench, I ended up having to replace all the front lines from the brake line manifold (valve) to the calipers.
Thanks,
Rich
