I think my 940 is due for some new brakes. No serious symptoms yet, but I'm a firm beliver in preventice maintenance and this is one of the few systems I've not replaced or flushed since I bought the car last year.
I used to replace brake pads in my 1972 145 Volvo and found it be fairly easy as long as I had a spare person to help me bleed the lines afterwards. However, I've never touched the pads on a car with ABS and after looking through the FAQ, I'm not sure that it wouldn't be better to leave it to the local Midas. I'm looking at a substantial savings if I do it myself, but I lack any specialized vacuum tools and I do not want to screw anything up on such an important system.
So, how difficult is it to replace the pads in a 940 with ABS? Will I be in over my head, or am I just being overly cautious?
