960 AC compressor 900

I am having a difficult time pulling the ac clutch, and haven't been able to find a replacement even if I manage to get the thing off. The compressor is 9 years old so I am thinking of pulling and replacing. Any ideas on the time to remove and replace the ac compressor? Any special tools or tricks I need to know about?
