My gear shift lever is a bit loose -- side to side -- to the point that the stud on the shaft which hooks into the gear position (i.e. safety) switch under the gear shift lever cover, often loses connection with the switch. That, of course leaves me dead in the water until I reinsert the stud into the switch. I am getting to where I can do this by feel -- in the dark, etc. -- but I really would like to tighten that up. How can I get to it? Under the car??? Thanks.
