Electrical anamoly and other pnp tales 900

92 960 wagon, 177,000 miles. About a year and a half ago the "burned out bulb" idiot light began to stay on. I checked all the lights and they worked, discovered the cost of the relay was some exorbidant amount of money and so resigned myself to just staring at the light all the time. The interesting part is that occasionally during heavy rains the light would go out. Recently the transmission lock out began to act up. Hitting the manual release I cycled the shifter back and forth about 20 times and it was good for another 20 months or so. Now it gets interesting. Today I start the car up. The bulb failure light is NOT lit. The "W" on the WSE part of the trans is lit but the trans is still operating in the E mode. I can punch the S button and the trans will operate in the S mode but the W button will stay lit. Somewhere down the road, the E button lights up and the bulb failure light flashes back on. What do you all think? Anybody else have electrical fun like this?
