Disconnected air mass meter while running and now have Check Engine light on ? 200 1993

Don't ask me why, but I apparently did a stupid thing.
I disconnected and reconnected the Air Mass Meter wire connector while the engine was running.
I now have a check engine light on.

How do I turn this light out and would my stupidity have caused a problem?
