Seat Rebuild 200

I just installed a new grid on a junkyard seat. Searching the archives, I found Art Berstein's narrative entry, but I could not locate his pictures. Should I be doing a separate search for them?

Anyway, his mention of brake spring pliers and coathanger wire was enough to get the idea. Since I didn't see the pictures, I don't know how he used the coathanger wire, but it occurred to me to run it from the hooked jaw of the pliers to the spring hook and back to the hooked jaw, making a loop with both ends attached to the pliers. The arrangement makes it very simple to free the hanger wire from the spring hook, once the spring is attached to the grid; just slip the loop off. I found I needed two loops, one bit shorter than the other, to deal with the two different spring lengths.
