Brake light '88 240

Hi Everyone,

I have a problem with the brake light on the driver's side. The bulb is good and upon inspection of the white plastic wiring harness that snaps into the circuit board one of the connections (the one connected to the red wire) is noticably charred. All of the other lights in the assembly work so I'm guessing the one thats charred is my culprit. Sound familiar to anyone? Any good way to fix? Can I inexpensively replace just the white plastic piece as well as its terminal on the circuit board?

I just bought the car a few weeks ago and have already put some serious miles on her through the mountains on climbing trips and am getting her ready for a 2000 mile trip to the midwest and back. I'm new to the whole Volvo thing but I'm starting to realize why you people are so crazy about these things. Thanks in advance for any help.

Brian
