240 stall/difficult start 200

Hi,
My '89 240 has been stalling occasionally.I will be driving along.usually just after taking off from stop, and it will suddenly stall.There isn't any hesitation before stalling.It then is really difficult to start again.
The throttle body has been cleaned a couple of weeks back and a minor service done(oil,filter).
Otherwise it drives really well. Any help really appreciated ( I'm a recent Volvo convert )
