Emergency Dash Light Glow 200 1980

Has someone solved this problem? The dash trouble (idiot) lights glow dimly (can only be seen in a dark area like a garage in daylight). They go out when engine is stopped and key is turned off. I first noticed something when the "amps" light would flash with the turn signals at night. Thanks for help in advance.
