Broken Timing Belt Repair (1986 240 DL) 200 1986

The timing belt broke on the commute to work and I need some advice on it's repair. All of the information I've read is geared for replacement of an intact belt & I see numerous warnings not to move the crankshaft and camshaft without the timing belt. Knowing that the chankshaft and camshaft need to be in specific positions for correct timing, how do I align the shafts without the timing belt in place? I've purchased the belt, tensioner and seals. I have the standard B230F engine. Thanks for the help.
