slow starting '91 Regina - long post 700 1991

1991 745 with Rex-Regina and 208K miles. Cranks a VERY long time when first started for the day. Might stall when taking off from the first stop sign too. Later starts that day are usually fine, but once in a while they take a long time too. It always starts eventually and runs just fine and get's good milage once it's going. Has leaked oil for a long time (rear main seal?), but not into distributor and crankcase ventilation appears to be fine. OBD gives no codes.

I have replaced or swapped all of these things:

coil
distributor cap rotor and o-rings
plug and coil wires
ECU
air temp sensor
IAC
fuel pump relay
fuel pressure regulator
fuel filter (check valve is inside, right?)

throttle body is clean and I can't find any vacuum leaks using propane

Other than vetting everything in that box of used spares I have, none of this has changed the running of the car. The only other possible clue is that before this problem developed I had an intermittent speedometer which turned out to be bad wires at the sensor in the differential. That did cause a code, but is fixed and I don't see how running without speed input would cause damage. The only spare I don't have, and wish I did, is the MAP sensor. I have a spare crank position sensor, but my understanding is that would cause hot start problems or cut outs, so I don't think it's that.

Anybody got any slick ideas of what to look for or try? I don't know if my patience or my starter will wear out first.

Thanks
