B20 thermometera and Haynes manual 120-130

Only for pure curiosity: Reading (again) the Haynes manual, I see a reference about the temperature sensor is a electrical type unit. Of course, at least, on B18A engines it is mechanical (capilar tube). Was the same on B20 units?. Some later amazon engine uses a electrical temperature sensor as a standard? Or was a errare haynes est? (also the related diagram was printed rotated or it is from another engine).
