87 engine in 89 further questions continued-.B.C. suggested I could swap the bell housings to keep the 87 trans. 200

is there something on the 89 engine [not wires]that i will need to transfer to the 87 engine,like what is the speed sensor reading to know the crank position,i see nothing in my manuals.....or is the only route to wire the 89 as if it is an 87 and is THAT possible? do i need to change the flex plates....Kris...both are 240 engines with auto trannies........
