Wire Harness Melt Down 200

I sprayed my 1985 DL engine with "gunk" and rinsed it (what a dumby). After starting it, it ran for about 5 minutes then stalled. I found that the wire loom insulation melted inside the harness on top of the engine.

What do I need to replace besides the wire harness? The engine pops and miss fires when turned over.

The engine ran fine before this.
