I have a '90 Volvo 740GL with just over 102K miles (I bought it when it had 98K).
Over the last 6 months, it's given me a consistent 24 mpg. Over the last 3 weeks or so, I'm down to just above 20. I realised it when I felt that I was filling up gas a little earlier than usual.
And with gas hitting ~ $4/gallon , I really wanna get my mileage up!
This is my first car, so I'm a complete newbie. I asked some friends about ways to help bump my mileage and all I have is
- check tire pressure
- change air filter
I can get the air filter changed soon ...about the tire pressure - The label on my driver's side door that's supposed to hold the car tire pressure for the car has been washed out (by rain?) ...
Soooooo.....
1) Does anyone know the correct tire pressure of all 4 tires of a '90 740GL sedan?
2) What do you guys do to have and maintain a healthy mpg for your beloved Volvo?
