Fuel pressure problem 700 1988

With the engine running check the vacuum line coming from the fuel pressure regulator. If any fuel comes out when the line is removed you have a bad regulator diaphram. Gas may be getting sucked through the line into your intake manifold causing the throttle body noise. The new filter may have allowed an increase in pressure that broke the old FPR diaphram.
