Exhaust pipe/muffler fix 1989

My muffler has rusted away where it is connected to the exhaust. Any help you could give in repairing this would be appreciated. I'm pretty sure the muffler is fine and the rusted section is after the collar holding the muffler's pipe to the main exhaust pipe running into the muffler. Thanks.
