Sounds like a fuel pressure issue.

What I did is disconnect the ar flow sensor electrical connection from under the air intake. Doing this makes the fuel pump run as soon as the ignition switch is turned to "on", and keeps it on until the siwthc is turned off.

That will let you build sufficient pressure in the fuel lines before cranking the engine.

The only check valve on the system is back on the fuel pump. I have been looking for a cheap inline check valve to place near the fuel filter, so that pressure doesn't bleed off throughout the whole system as quickly. That check valve woudl have to be barbed for 3/8 lines and support 75psi. I also think engine heat vapor-locks the fuel in the lines around the engine, making for hard starts. Cool weather is no problem, even without the cold start valve.

Yes, it is bypassing a safety system that shuts the fuel pump off if the car dies like when you flip it in the median because you were or someone else was driving like an idiot, but those are the risks one takes in life. If you crash the car, be sure to turn off the ignition.

There is no accelerator pump on a kjet car. Pumping the gas pedal is less effective thatn keeping it down, if you need gas.

The cold start injector my not be firing. Usually this is what gets it going first thing for a cold start. Your thermal timer switch may be faulty. All this can be sidestepped.
