Suspension mounting bracket 200 1986

pat,

Your talking about the bolt (fastener) that goes through the shock absorber, and lower control arm ? If so, it is a pass through long bolt with a sleave between the two sides of the lower control arm. If one side is loose...tighten it. If the other side is missing, replace it with a grade 8 (??) or better. Get one (2), don't forget the spacer, from any of the Volvo parts houses (FCP Groton...IPD....Swedish Engineering....etc.). Top shock bolt (stud) is a threaded stud into the chassis. If that's broken, there should be a hex flange at the base that you can put a socket on it to remove. Replacement would have to come from one of the above type parts suppliers.

Enjoy.
