I have had one of these setups on a BSA (motorcycle) for about 2 years, the points still look new! It starts a lot easier too, which is why I put the unit in, when you gotta kick em, ease of starting becomes a big issue with me! I put quite a few miles on this bike too, it is my "daily driver". As I understand it, once the kit is installed the points only handle about 1/10th as much and there is no possibility of arcing.
I like the price too!

PS I think that this is similar to what Yogui has, only in a kit.
