Ask questions here, check the 700/900 FAQ on this site, and get yourself a Bentley 240 Repair Manual. About $40 from amazon, and a terrific read. There are a handful of problems that later 240's develop that elude many mechanics that don't have experience with Volvos. Check your records and see if the crankshaft position sensor (AKA flywheel sensor) and the ignition power stage (AKA ignition module/amplifier) have been replaced.
