blinkers not blinking S90-V90

I've stumbled across this with my 95' 964. First time it occured was several years back after going through carwashes. It would clear itself up after things dried up. What I've also noticed is that by activating the 4-way flashers for a few seconds, it would usually clears things up immediatley.
