well, I luckily (sort of ) have another 240 needing a starter, so I bought a brand new one and tried it out on this car first. Installed it last night and there is no difference other than a cooler sounding starter. so, next step is to check wiring and grounds I suppose. My harness is in pretty rough shape.... i'm going to try what Misunderstood posted... any other thoughts? thanks for the ideas though, I now have the starter I needed for my other car at least :)
