Will,

I have noticed that I have several things wrong with my alternator and headlights. My alternator does not align correctly because I have bad bushings. Then, my brushes are down around 6 mm. On top of all this, my front two headlights (the sealed glass kind) have water inside them. I bought new lamps for those, and I'll let you know if replacing them helps at all. I also have corrosion on my headlamp connectors. Any ONE of these things could be my issue, so I imagine fixing a few today will at least give me a better idea of the real issue.
