Howdy,

Check the small terminal with the key in the START position. If the engine is turning over, you should see an erratic voltage as the points open and close. If the coil is working there will also be a large spike when the points open. But it is very narrow.

With known good voltage at the coil and no spark, if the points are set correctly and the distributor is turning, the coil is bad.
