You just lift the calipers up a little bit to get them above the disc.
The calipers are mounted with the lines so they will flex upwards for the purpose of being able to replace the disc without opening the brake system.
Just have a heavy bungee cord, belt or wire ready and don't let it dangle. Hook them to the strut springs.
You just treat them assertively and with forethought. Your under there with tools not with lots of rocks flying. Even though they probably could take both. Their built pretty tough.
