A few years back I looked at our policy, and thought it pretty dumb I was still carrying collision and comprehensive on a couple of 240's the insurance carrier would have totaled for less than the deductible. Of course, on windshield damage, they waive the deductible, because they want you to get it fixed. Net result, between potential claims-driven premium increases and the premiums themselves, the agent admitted there was no sense in continuing collision and comprehensive on old cars.
