This is kind of a Volvo post, actually it covers a few things....
It's completely true that you think of the most brilliant things while on the toilet. A few hours ago it dawned on me that my fiancee and I live in Rhode Island, a state that does not require you to have a title to register a car. Well that's all well and good, and it was all well and good for a year driving the car in Rhode Island...
...One little problem.
Nevada requires anybody who wants to register a car in that state to have a title. We of course do not have the title to our 91 240 since...well...it's 19 years old. I went on Rhode Island's DMV website and it says that you can only get a re-issue of a title if you're the original owner of the vehicle.
.....Okkkaaayyyy...So now what do I do? My fiancee told me to call the RI DMV tomorrow and explain to them that we're moving and we need the title for our car, however I just have this insatiable feeling that they're going to tell me "Tough (you know what.) . "
The Nevada DMV website stated that you need to get a re-issue of the title for your car from the state you bought it in, which makes it sound like quite the run-around, does it not?
If that's the case, uh...well...I guess I have to sell the car here in Rhode Island, right?
*Sigh*...
