Help with OBD system 200 1989

Pry the little cover off and look for corrosion, especially in the push button contacts.



Also, check the behavior of the red light when the button is pressed and the test wire is not in any hole. And describe how it works on the ignition - hole 6. OBD box has to be used key on.

If this ain't it, then I suspect there's something wrong with the way the cluster went back in -- maybe a plug not fully seated?
