I replaced all the capacitors in my cluster , but it did not work. I acquired one from e-bay and it works BUT the gas gauge works backwards..shows empty when full , warning light illuminates as well and full when empty. I live with it knowing that the warning light goes out at approximately 200 miles and at half tank indicating I have about five gallons , roughly 100 mile or so left. Also the old cluster in my 91 used the sliders for clock adjustment whereas the one I acquired adjusts by rotating a shaft. I dont know what year it came from.
