Don't want to belabor this issue---I'm a fair shade-tree mechanic, but I'm not that confident in my abilities to switch out my ol' generator to a nice, remanned Delco. I don't have any diagnostics equipment and I would be afraid I'd burn up something or fry something (like myself). And if I went out and got a electrical type diagnostic piece of equipment--what should I get?

Thoughts, half formed opinions, memorable quotes anyone. (and I mean that in a fun way!)
