I don't believe any of the 164s had asbestos heat shields. The Zenith Stromberg 175CD2 carbs and the SU HIF6 both used the same sheet metal heat shields that bolted between the carb and the manifold between 2 gaskets and shaded the float bowl from the exhaust heat. The same shields were used on both 4 and 6 cylinder engines.
