Idle Issues 200 1984

I think you have cruised the neighborhood and check all the houses that can create a problem. Block by block makes for good detective work!

A lot of people have posted that yoyu can feel the IAC vibrate and I have never tried that. I must have always thought the engine would cover up any movement like that. I hope that turns out to be the problem as it makes some sense if it is totally dead.

Most of the time after they gets lot of miles the brushes wear grooves into the commutator and that probably creates dead zone in rotation. When you get the replacement you might want to take a peek as it will be junk anyway. Just open the crimped tabs and it slides apart.

I hope you get tools for Christmas that way you can go play with the toys under the hood as that is what smarter men do that do not watch sports! (:)

Happy Holiday
Phil
