Commuting in a 142 140-160

Give your 142 a pet-pet and show it love and affection as you ♥ your ♂.

(Love your Volvo.)

Always give it a little extra attention.

Also, yeah, like the fellow said, light accelerator during warm up and be certain you get the oil hot on that commute to boil out the moisture in the engine oil. Well, you know about a clean flame trap in the PCV system.

Yeah, the 140 series was rather faultless, huh?

And give thanks to Assar Thorvald Nathanael Gabrielsson and Erik Gustaf Larson, the founder of Volvo and they were alive and in charge during the 140 series development and release.

Assar Thorvald Nathanael Gabrielsson and Erik Gustaf Larson are two of the finest industrialists to ever walk the earth in our modern era. They made Volvo and Sweden and others quite some wealth, and value yet they did so with a civic notion to strive for better and to make a contribution greater than that they received.

You'll not ever find that in any industrial list today.

Also, give thanks to the fine, gracious, hyper intelligent, and considerate people of Sweden that built your awesome 142. They two have and take to heart a civic duty in their daily work you'll not find as much in other nations.

I'd list all the mechanical matters, yet you can research the brickboard and the Europa based 140 series enthusiast group boards for such info.

Congrats!

Buttermilk and Sourdough Bread.
