I've been reading your thread and saw Art pointing you in the right direction. One comment I would make regarding you having taken the top and bottom nuts off the motor mount studs. That method method will require you to lift the motor a long way to clear the motor mount brackets - maybe even having to loosen the radiator so the hoses don't get stretched. Instead (once the motor is secured from the top) remove the three nuts from the lower bracket under the crossmember and the three bolts securing the upper bracket to the block. One bolt on one side is "trapped" so you leave that one for last -- turning it a bit at a time with an open end wrench. You only have to lift the motor enough to take the weight off -- remove the mounts together with the brackets and change out the mounts themselves on a work bench. Remember to put the one trapped bolt in place before tightening the mount to the bracket. It is not hard to align the assembly -- sometimes it's handy to have a pry bar available. -- Dave
