hi art
the problem posed a few weeks back was never resolved.
it was a 92 sedan with a speedo which would go wild exceeding 20. the abs light came on at any speed above 5 mph.
the sensor on the axle checked out
the abs axle itself checked but was a 3.31 on an automatic car but was an abs axle
the wiring to the speedo and then to the abs computers was good.
the abs computer was good even a known good swap changed nothing
the speedo was swapped and changed nothing
the front abs sensor measured correct resistance
IF a jumper was used from the abs axle in question to the trunk harness connector of another car and then run with wheels off the ground the speedo in the donor car operated correctly
no solution was ever found for the problem that involved keeping the abs intact.
what was decided was to install a non abs axle wired to a non abs cluster bypassing completely the abs system. the speedo and odo now work and no cel lights comes on but obviously there is no abs working or usable.
